Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how RocketShift collects, uses, shares, and protects information when owners, managers, employees, and invited testers use the RocketShift website, web app, and mobile app.
Last updated: July 15, 2026
We do not sell employee, business, profile, location, or usage data.
Location is used for clock actions, not continuous background tracking.
Owners and managers see the records needed to operate their workspace.
RocketShift collects information needed to create accounts, run store operations, and support the people using the service. This may include name, email address, phone number, role, store assignment, account identifiers, profile photo, display name, and profile details you choose to provide.
RocketShift also stores work-related records such as schedules, tasks, task completions, time punches, timesheets, time off requests, coverage requests, announcements, help tickets, manager notes, and related operational activity.
If your workspace uses imports or guided setup, RocketShift may process crew, schedule, task, and store setup data provided by an owner, manager, or authorized workspace administrator.
We use information to provide RocketShift features, authenticate users, show the right workspace and role-based experience, manage schedules and tasks, support time clock workflows, prepare timesheets, handle time off and coverage requests, and help owners and managers operate their stores.
We may use operational data to diagnose issues, improve reliability, protect against misuse, support customers, and maintain accurate business records for the workspace.
RocketShift requests location only when a feature needs it, such as clocking in or clocking out. Location helps verify whether a clock action appears to happen near the store.
RocketShift does not continuously track employee location in the background. If location is required and unavailable, stale, imprecise, or outside the configured store area, the clock action may be blocked or flagged for manager review.
For new clock actions, RocketShift uses the precise coordinate to evaluate the action and retains the resulting review status and relevant policy evidence rather than a precise latitude-and-longitude history. Workspace owners control whether location verification is enabled and are responsible for appropriate employee notice and lawful use.
RocketShift does not sell employee data, business data, profile information, location data, or usage data.
Workspace owners, managers, and authorized administrators may see records needed to operate the store, verify work activity, manage employees, and provide support. We may also share limited information with service providers that help us operate RocketShift, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, email, storage, or support tools, only as needed to provide the service.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect RocketShift and our users, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
RocketShift keeps account, workspace, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, support the workspace, satisfy legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain reliable business history.
Workspace owners or authorized administrators may request correction, export, or deletion of certain data, subject to operational, legal, security, and backup limitations.
Deleted production data may remain temporarily in protected backups until normal backup-retention periods expire. Security, audit, transaction, billing, legal, and dispute records may be retained when reasonably necessary after a workspace closes.
RocketShift uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including secure network connections, access controls, authentication, and operational safeguards.
No internet service can guarantee perfect security. If we learn of a security issue that affects user or workspace data, we will investigate and take appropriate steps based on the nature of the issue.
RocketShift is a workplace operations tool and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy as RocketShift changes. When we make material updates, we will revise the date above and may provide additional notice inside the app or by other reasonable means.
